Design
At the centre of the design is Mary Gillick’s first definitive coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, surrounded by all ten of The Queen’s Beasts.
These ten heraldic creatures represent different branches of Queen Elizabeth II’s royal ancestry and famously stood guard as statues outside Westminster Abbey during her Coronation in 1953.
The design also incorporates the national flowers of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, presented as they appeared on Elizabeth II’s 1953 Coronation Crown.
Its unusual 35 mm square format gives the bar a distinctive appearance compared with conventional silver bullion, while the limited worldwide mintage of only 70,000 pieces adds further collector appeal.
Combining 1 oz of .9999 fine silver, Royal Mint craftsmanship, British royal history and a limited mintage, The Queen’s Beasts Silver Bullion Bar is an impressive addition for both silver stackers and Royal Mint collectors.
