The 1/4 Idaho Goldback honours Justitia, the classical personification of Justice. She is depicted blindfolded while holding raised scales and a lowered sword, representing impartial judgement, fairness and restrained authority.

The detailed artwork incorporates several symbols of Idaho, including an elk and cornucopia, the syringa state flower, a monarch butterfly, and the dramatic landscape of Hells Canyon. Along the bottom appears the principle “Judge Righteously.”
